Seen

Seen reduces an enormous animal to folds of skin, subtle shifts of color, traces of dust, and one watchful eye. At first the photograph can feel almost abstract; then the gaze pulls everything back into focus. It is a reminder that wildlife photography is sometimes less about looking at an animal than recognizing that another animal is looking back.
